Do I need a new SIM or phone number?
No. You sign in with the number you already run your business on, and we give your shop a dedicated ordering line for customers. Your personal chats stay personal, and customers never see your own number unless you share it.
What happens when a customer wants to talk to a real person?
They just say so — "owner se baat karni hai" works. The assistant immediately pauses in that chat and pings your phone. You reply as yourself, and the assistant stays out of the way until you hand the chat back.
Which languages does the assistant speak?
English, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam today, with more Indian languages on the way. By default it matches whatever the customer types — including mixed languages like Hinglish — or you can pin it to one language.
How do payments work?
You choose what your shop accepts: cash on delivery, UPI on delivery, or prepaid UPI links sent in the chat. Money goes straight to your UPI — Dukaan Dost never holds your funds.
What if the assistant gets an order wrong?
Every order lands on your board before it's packed, and orders that look unusual — outside your delivery radius, above your alert amount, or with unclear items — are flagged for your review first. You always have the final say.
Is my customer data safe?
Your customers, orders, and numbers belong to you. We don't sell data or show ads, and you can export your full customer list and order history as a spreadsheet anytime.
